I did it! I finally posted a link-up weekly instead of monthly. Hooray! Today is already looking like a good day, I’m about to eat some delicious funfetti pancakes.
Life Update
I know people usually do a “life update” here, but since I normally post so much about my life in my blogs, does anyone really need to know what is going on with me? Ok, well, I’m in a new relationship and it is going awesome. I’m working on my book proposal (still….) that’s due March 15 and I have some really amazing mentors and friends helping me get it into ship-shop shape.
Oh! And the most exciting news is that I was nominated for One Smart Dollar’s Top Personal Finance Blog of 2012. Since it is a reader based nomination, it means that much more. The winner gets an ipad Mini and $100 to giveaway to their loyal readers and fans. Since my birthday is around the corner and I just found out I will be getting a full size Ipad as a present, if you help me win I WILL GIVE AWAY THE IPAD. I know, I’m bribing, but there is lots in it for you too if you go and vote. Click on the image below to go and cast your vote-one click is all it takes.
On to my favorite reads this week!

What are you up to on this wintry Saturday?

Hi, my name is Lauren but I'm known to those nearest and dearest as L. Bee. After twenty-five years on the planet I have worked in a lot of industries, moved to many different cities, and made almost every money mistake you can make.Join me on my journey as I navigate my twenties and try not to pick my "money tree" bare.

I agree! We need to really kick it up a notch in savings. I hope that post has spurred some people on to realizing that it will end up in $100,000 saved by the time they retire, which is nowhere near close to being able to pay for 13 years of retirement.
Thanks for the link back
